Sebastian Doerr is an Economist at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). At the BIS, he regularly contributes to policy notes and publications on innovation in the financial sector and its consequences for financial stability, credit supply and consumer welfare. His research has been published in leading academic journals, such as the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics and Review of Finance. In 2019, he received the European Economic Association’s “Young Economist Award.” He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Zurich.
